Eya Naturals and Kaydua Luxury are women-centric brands. We train young women in cosmetics production and Financial Literacy. This is to help prepare these young women who may be interested in using the skills gained to start their own businesses making and selling cosmetic products using locally available ingredients.
In 2020, Eya Naturals held their training in the founder’s hometown – Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana. 25 young women between the ages of 14-25 were trained in soap-making using shea butter and coconut oil, 2 key fats that are found locally in Ghana. The young girls also received training in producing body and hair butter using shea butter and other natural ingredients.
Finally, the team from Eya Naturals also trained the young girls in financial literacy, a key skill that will help them start and sustain a business.
This year, the training program will be held in Accra for single young mothers who are interested in gaining cosmetic-making skills to start a business to support themselves and their families. The program will take place in August of 2021 at our Spintex premises.
